§ 3–1208.93. Transition of licensed and registered medical radiation practitioners.
For a period of one year after the effective date of implementing regulations issued pursuant to this subchapter, unless further time is granted by the Mayor through rulemaking, a person who has received appropriate training for the tasks assigned may, regardless of licensure status, practice as a medical radiation practitioner, cardiovascular-interventional technologist, computed tomography technologist, magnetic resonance technologist, mammographer, nuclear medicine technologist, radiographer, radiologist assistant, or ultrasound technologist. After a period of one year or additional time authorized by the Mayor, a license shall be required for any person to work or identify themselves as a medical radiation practitioner, cardiovascular-interventional technologist, computed tomography technologist, magnetic resonance technologist, mammography technologist, nuclear medicine technologist, radiographer, radiologist assistant, or ultrasound technologist.
