Code Enactment and Related Amendments Act of 2001,” was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 13-449, which was referred to the Committee on Consumer and Regulatory Affairs. The Bill was adopted on first and final readings on December 5, 2000, and January 23, 2001, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on February 9, 2001, it was assigned Act No. 13-603 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 13-298 became effective on May 3, 2001.
