Law 19-82, the “Electrician Equality Act of 2011”, was introduced in Council and assigned Bill No. 19-44, which was referred to the Committee on Public Services and Consumer Affairs. The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on November 1, 2011, and December 6, 2011, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on December 16, 2011, it was assigned Act No. 19-242 and transmitted to both Houses of Congress for its review. D.C. Law 19-82 became effective on February 24, 2012.
