The Bill was adopted on first and second readings on June 3, 2014, and July 14, 2014, respectively. Signed by the Mayor on Sept. 19, 2014, it was assigned Act No. 20-426 and transmitted to Congress for its review. D.C. Law 20-157 became effective on Feb. 26, 2015.
